1. What services do you offer?
We offer a wide range of outdoor services, including:
• Lawn care & maintenance (mowing, trimming, seasonal cleanups)

2. Are you licensed and insured?
Absolutely! We are fully licensed and insured to protect both our clients and our team. We encourage all clients to verify that their landscaping/hardscaping contractor holds the required licenses through the following Maryland state government websites:

The State of Maryland requires that all residential landscapers and hardscapers hold a Maryland Home Improvement Commission License.
In addition to our MHIC license (#155042), we also hold a Pennsylvania Home Improvement Commission License (#194774), a Maryland Plant Dealer license (#47983), a Maryland Construction License (#03222917), and we are an NDS Professional Drainage Certified Contractor.
3. What areas do you serve?
• Hardscaping services: Baltimore County, Harford County, Anne Arundel County (MD), and York County (PA).
• Lawn care & maintenance: Select communities in Eastern Baltimore County (Perry Hall, White Marsh, Nottingham, Middle River, Bowleys Quarters, Essex, Rossville, Dundalk).

Getting Started
1. Do you offer free estimates?
Yes! We provide free over-the-phone estimates. In-person estimates may have a fee depending on project requirements (e.g. 3D designs, engineering reports).
2. How do I start planning my project?
Start by requesting a consultation through our website Consultation Request Form or call us at 443-814-7126.
3. What can I expect during the initial in-person consultation?
• We’ll discuss your ideas, vision, and goals.
• Our team may take photos, videos, and measurements.
• We’ll explain the construction process and set expectations.
4. What happens after the consultation?
• We prepare a detailed proposal and email it to you.
• A follow-up meeting will be scheduled to review options and designs. This is the time to make any changes, discuss budget goals, and finalize materials choices.
When everything is finalized and agreed upon, we will send the completed contract documents via email for you to sign. Floyd’s Lawn & Landscape requires 1/3 deposit on the contract, the remaining balance will be divided up and charged throughout the project.

1. How do I request changes to an existing job or schedule a new service?

2. How do I access my proposals and invoices?
From your Client Portal Dashboard, go to the Finances tab:
• Invoices: View and pay invoices.
• Proposals: Accept proposals.
• Payments: Update payment methods.
• Documents: Upload or view project-related files.
Lawn Care & Maintenance
1. What if my lawn isn’t growing due to drought or is too wet from rain?
Please contact us to reschedule if your lawn isn’t in optimal condition. If our crew arrives and determines that service isn’t necessary, we’ll notify you.
2. How often will my lawn be mowed?
• Weekly & bi-weekly schedules available.
• Waterfront, water-view, and fertilized lawns must be cut weekly to maintain a healthy lawn.
3. Will my lawn be mowed on the same day each week?
Yes, we aim for consistency (weather permitting).
4. Do I need to remove obstacles like pet waste, toys, or hoses before service?
Yes. Please clear your yard to avoid potential damage. If pet waste is not cleaned up, a $50 fee may apply.
5. At what height will my grass be cut?
We typically cut between 2.5 - 4 inches, depending on grass type and seasonal conditions.
Landscaping & Hardscaping

What is hardscaping?
Hardscaping includes non-living landscape elements like patios, walkways, fire pits, and retaining walls. These features use materials such as stone, pavers, concrete, and wood.

3. Do I need a permit for landscaping or hardscaping projects?
It depends on the project and local regulations. We handle all necessary permits if required.
4. How long will my project take?
Project timelines vary:
• Walkways: A few days
• Patios: 1-2 weeks
• Retaining walls & large installations: Several weeks
Design & Materials
1. What materials do you use for hardscaping?
We use pavers, natural stone, brick, concrete, wood, and composite materials, depending on project goals.
2. Can you help with the design process?
Yes! We create custom designs that fit your style, budget, and space.
3. Do you offer eco-friendly options?
Yes, including permeable pavers and recycled materials to support sustainability.
Installation & Maintenance
1. What maintenance is required for hardscaping?
• Occasional cleaning & sealing (if applicable)
• Checking for settling or shifting over time
• Removing debris from pavers and surfaces
2. Can hardscaping help with drainage issues?
Yes! We are an NDS Certified Professional Drainage Contractor and are experts with solving drainage issues. We use solutions like retaining walls, French drains, and permeable pavers to manage water flow and erosion.
3. Will my hardscaping project increase property value?
Yes! Professionally designed hardscaping enhances curb appeal and resale value.
4. Do you offer repairs for existing hardscaping?

Pricing & Payment
1. How much do hardscaping projects cost?
Pricing depends on materials, size, and design complexity. Here are some estimates:
• Basic Design ($10K-$25K) – Small patio (15’x15’) and a 15’ walkway
• Moderate Design ($30K-$60K) – Large patio, walkways, fire pit, and a seating wall
• Deluxe Design ($75K+) – Multi-tier patios, outdoor kitchen, lighting, water/fire feature
2. Do you offer financing options?
We offer financing through third-party lenders. Check our website Financing tab for details.
3. Do you require a deposit?
Yes. A one-third deposit is required upfront. The remainder is divided into progress payments as the work is completed.
